Medior Consultant Ports & Logistics

Rebel Ports & Logistics
At Rebel Ports & Logistics, we make an impact on future-oriented challenges in the fields of ports, logistics, infrastructure, renewable energy, and sustainability. Within our close-knit team, we’re looking for an experienced consultant who wants to contribute to creating value in the port and logistics sector.
The Role
In this role, you will provide strategic advice to both public and private clients by conducting market studies, commercial due diligence for port-related transactions, and technical and economic feasibility studies. You’ll also contribute ideas toward the decarbonization of the shipping sector. About half your time will be spent working with clients in the Netherlands and Belgium, and the other half with clients around the world. Besides advising port authorities, you’ll also support major stakeholders such as terminal operators, shippers, investors, and financiers (such as infrastructure funds and IFIs).
You’ll work closely with other teams within Rebel, combining our financial-strategic expertise, experience in infrastructure projects, and rebellious way of working to create additional value. This position is for our team based in Rotterdam, and we collaborate flexibly with our colleagues in Antwerp.

What We’re Looking For
You have:
- A technical, economics, business, or related Master’s degree
- 3–5 years of experience in financial-economic fields
- An interest in ports, shipping, and logistics, and in the current challenges both domestically and internationally
- The drive and knowledge to independently conduct complex (quantitative) economic studies
- An interest in deepening your skills in data processing and programming
- A strong command of English (as you will be working with international clients); knowledge of German, French, or another language is a plus
- Alternatively, you may be motivated to switch careers and eager to learn, and able to demonstrate the necessary skills
What We Offer
- A working environment defined by social engagement, creativity, entrepreneurship, analytical thinking, collaboration, and eagerness to learn
- Varied and socially relevant projects: from feasibility studies for zero-emission shipping to calculating the economic impact of shore power, developing sustainability strategies for a major container terminal operator, and building a hydrogen hub in the Netherlands
- Competitive compensation for your skills, good secondary benefits, and the opportunity to become a shareholder over time
- The chance to participate in the Rebel Academy training program, with opportunities for further growth or even launching your own Rebel venture
- A small, informal, cross-border team within the larger global Rebel network
- A modern office in the heart of the Oude Haven (Old Harbor) in Rotterdam
