At Rebel, we are dedicated to environmental sustainability and continuously strive to incorporate carbon-conscious practices into our operations. To this end, Rebel Infrastructure Assets & Operations UK Ltd has launched several initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon emissions generated by employee travel and social activities. By 2029, we project a 24% reduction in carbon emissions, bringing them down to 7.5 tCO2e over the next five years.
Key initiatives we’ve completed
Encouraging sustainable travel:
Rebel actively promotes the use of eco-friendly travel methods for work-related journeys, including commuting and client visits. To support this effort, we reimburse public transport expenses as specified in at least one employee contract.
Advocating train travel for long-distance business trips:
Whenever possible, we encourage employees to choose trains over more carbon-intensive options like air travel for business purposes.
Sustainable social activities:
Company-organised social events are designed with sustainability in mind. For example, group activities often involve environmentally friendly travel options, such as using night trains.
